The drive to live a life that is fitness focused comes from my own personal journey in health and wellness. Finding myself severely symptomatic with multiple chronic illnesses, I realized how crucial it was to prioritize my health and fitness if I wanted to feel better. Through Awesome Fitness, I share what I have learned to help you and your family improve your health and create a lasting, positive relationship with exercise.
I'm a Certified Personal Trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I believe fitness should be fun and that it is an essential part of you and your family's well-being. I have a special interest in exercise for first time fitness seekers and and those with chronic illness. With over a decade of experience prior to personal training in building curriculum and teaching youth team sports, gymnastics, obstacle-based classes, gym and dance, I also love working with youth exercisers and athletes.
I have enjoyed playing many team and individual sports such as baseball, basketball, tennis, cross country running and track, gymnastics, kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do and Krav Maga. My favorites are hiking and running, and I have completed ultra-marathons, placed as a top runner in the Rugged Maniac race series, and competed in many Spartan Races including the Spartan World Championships. I am a volunteer coach with Girls on the Run, empowering girls and helping to build their self confidence through physical activity. If you are a runner or would like to be, we are a perfect fit!
