Welcome to Awesome Fitness! I'm Ali, a Certified Personal Trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I have a special interest in exercise for youth and people living with chronic conditions, and I also strive to empower the LGBTQIA+ community and women through fitness. I believe fitness should be FUN and that it is an essential part of your and your family's well-being.
I have enjoyed playing many team and individual sports such as baseball, basketball, tennis, cross country running and track, gymnastics, kickboxing, Tae Kwon Do and Krav Maga. My personal favorite is running and I have completed ultra-marathons, placed as a top runner in the Rugged Maniac race series, and competed in many Spartan Races including the Spartan World Championships. Drawing on my personal athletic experiences and enjoyment of other movement activities like Pilates, dance, relays, and yoga, I create exciting and empowering challenges and programs!
I have always linked exercise, the outdoors and play together as a source of happiness and health. Good fitness and nutrition were instilled in me at a young age and I was encouraged to explore the natural world around me. I never lost my sense of play and I'm not afraid to be goofy. I believe all of this has made me the fun, dynamic, supportive and creative trainer that I am.

I am a rescue dog mom
Though I'm truly terrible at dancing, I love doing it anyway

Mountain hiking is my favorite (non-running) outdoor activity

My physical challenges are Arnold Chiari Malformation type 1, chronic hypovolemia, and knock knees
